NollywoodWeek Paris: Tunde Kelani’s ‘Dazzling Mirage’ wins audience ‘Audience Choice award’

Tunde Kelani’s inspiring film ‘Dazzling Mirage’ has won the ‘Audience Choice award’ at the 2015 edition of the NollywoodWeek Paris film festival.

Tunde Kelani’s ‘sickle cell’ themed film ‘Dazzling Mirage’, won the ‘Audience Choice Award’ at the 2015 edition of the NollywoodWeek Paris film festival.

The event which kicked off on June 4, came to an end on June 7, 2015 at the  Cinéma l’Arlequin in Paris, France.

Written by Ade Solanke‘Dazzling Mirage’ is a screen adaptation of Yinka Egbokhare’s novel of the same title, and features Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju, Kunle Afolayan, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Bimbo Manuel, Carol King, Yomi Fash Lanso, Seun Akindele among other talented actors.

The inspiring movie is centred around a young advertising executive (Funmiwo) living with sickle cell disorder.

She overcomes social stigma, prejudice and her own low self-esteem to achieve career success, marriage and motherhood. 

‘Dazzling Mirage’ competed alongside ‘Thy will be done’, ‘October 1,’ ‘Love or Something,’ ‘A Mile from Home,’Ojuju,’ ‘Last 3 Digits,’ for the ‘Audience Choice Award’.
