Award winning Nigerian filmmaker, Tunde Kelani’s latest effort, Dazzling Mirage is going places. Come Thursday, April 24, Dazzling Mirage will be screened to audience at the Brown University’s Rhode Island Hall, as part of the events lined up for the 2014 edition of Africana Film Festival, a project of the Departments of Africana Studies and Modern Culture and Media of the prestigious university where erudite Nigerian literary icon, Chinua Achebe was a scholar before his passage to glory, reports BIODUN KUPOLUYI.
Dazzling Mirage, adapted from a novel by Yinka Egbokare tells the story of a talented young sickle-cell sufferer, played by Lala Akindoju, who struggles to overcome social stigma, prejudice and her own self-esteem to achieve success at work and home. Starring Kunle Folayan, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett and Seun Akindele.
